Abstract:
The article attempts to compare Charlotte Kerner`s novel under the title "Blueprint. Blaupause" andits film version, directed by Rolf Schübel, looking at ways and means of showing the inner lives ofcharacters. First, there follows an analysis of the realization of this objective in the text, carried outby means of modern narratological categories (type of narrator, his position, way of telling, etc.). ; Thearticle then undertakes an analysis of these aspects in the film. What is explored here are: camerawork and type of shots as well as the introduction of additional elements not present in the text, suchas mounting or the introduction of symbols ("myths" as defined by R. Barthes), affecting the viewerthrough a system of connotation (colors, locations, etc.). The article presents a concrete example ofmicrostructural analysis of the underlying problem, which is to show the inner world by means ofvisual media available.
