This article presents the achievements of the Wielkopolska folklore of the thirties and forties of the nineteenth century. It shows the programmes in the folklore studies and theoretical considerations on folk culture formulated by Richard Berwińskiego, Edmund Bojanowski, Joseph John Lipinski, Francis Wawrowski, Waclaw Aleksander Maciejowski, Vladimir Adolf Wolniewicz and group centered around Leszno "Przyjaciel Ludu". Wielkopolska crowd experts are not as well known as Kazimierz Wladyslaw Wójcicki or Oskar Kolberg. However, their achievements, in a romantic, enthusiastic-gatherer was also significant and the theoretical reflection included the original propositions.
